Halo Infinite may be the marquee video game in the upcoming launch of Microsoft's new Xbox Series X console, but the software giant unveiled an eclectic lineup of other games in the works during a livestream Thursday. Not delivered was any word on when the Xbox Series X would be available, but it expected to land at the outset of the holiday shopping season. That sets up a clash with competitor Sony, which has its PlayStation 5 console arriving at about the same time. Some are coming to Xbox One sooner, but most will arrive later this year or may not hit Xbox Series X until 2021 or later. Video game fans finally got their first look at the PlayStation 5. Sony revealed the long-anticipated video game console on Thursday through an online livestream. The new console will be available in two forms: a standard model with Blu-ray disc drive and a digital model without the disc drive. Sony said pricing would be announced at a later time. Of course, a console is nothing without a strong library of games, especially at launch. Some titles will land this holiday, while others are in the works for next year and beyond.
